Kids definitely love Halloween, and when we say kids, that includes our dogs, of course. Remember when you were trick-or-treating with your friends? Those were fun times, especially the part when you get to eat all those yummy candies when you got back home. Nowadays, dogs can go trick-or-treating too.
We don’t know what it is with dogs and costumes, but whenever we see pups wearing them, we can’t just help but giggle. Admit it; you too can’t stop smiling whenever you see them. Well this year’s Halloween, one shelter dog went trick-or-treating on Instagram, not for candies, but rather for a forever home.
This pretty pittie is Molly. She used to call the kennels of Operation Kindness as her home. The staff members of the no-kill shelter based in Carrollton, Texas, thought of a brilliant way to make people notice this good girl, and that is by dressing her up for the Halloween season.
They thought of making it a daily post so that she would wear something different every day. They started at the end of September, hoping that by the end of October, she would already be adopted. Little did they know that their posts would become so popular, it didn’t take long before Molly found her forever home.
During the first day, she wore a sailor’s outfit, and just with this post, Instagram users already went nuts for her. The second day, Molly was wearing a Winnie the Pooh costume, and at this point, a lot of people were already asking how to take Molly home.
The posts became so popular that they only got to three posts, and the last one would be a Princess Jasmine costume. Shortly after this photo was shared online, Molly was already adopted. A lot of people felt sad because they wanted to take her home so badly. But we’re sure there are plenty of shelter dogs out there who would happily fill the void, and we’re sure they’d also look cute for next year’s Halloween.
