Tessa the Dog that Suddenly Went Blind – Tails of Survival

Tessa is a survivor. Even after suddenly going blind and being left at the shelter, she is slowly regaining her independence and love for life.

Tessa suddenly went blind. Her owners did not understand what was wrong with her, leaving her at the shelter shaking and frightened. Her sense of vertigo was so strong she couldn’t stand or walk. The shelter put out a call for help and The Bill Foundation of Los Angeles, CA answered.

Tessa was pulled from the shelter and taken in to a neurologist who diagnosed her with hydrocephalus or fluid on the brain. Tessa is responding positively to current treatment but may never regain her sight. She is becoming more mobile. Her sense of smell and hearing is compensating for her lack of sight. Tessa is getting her life back, thanks to Annie Hart of Bill Foundation.
